What a beautiful weekend!

What a wonderful weekend! The weather was beautiful and Julia is FINALLY over the stomach virus (thank goodness). We stayed home all last week and so excited to get outside. Jay was on call so Julia and I hit some garage sales, ran errands, walked Lexi ALOT and played on our swing. Jay was home most of the day Sunday and we got to visit with Sissy and Pop.

Just a typical morning.....

Julia and Lexi are hours of entertainment for me. Julia loves that dog and I think Lexi just may love her too =). Just wanted to share what a typical morning looks like at our house. I love my kids."Mom - Can Lexi have some Puffs????"
As Julia throws them on the floor..."Mom said no, but here you go anyway Lexi...."

It has been a while.....

So sorry it has been so long since our last post. We have been BUSY!! Since Julia started crawling, life is not the same. She is EVERYWHERE!!!! Guest bathroom is her favorite spot, not really sure why. She does laps around the house! It takes no time at all for her to be down the hall, in the next room.

Julia and Lexi (our 100 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback) are the best of friends. Julia feeds Lexi everything (amazing that Lexi has not accidentally bitten Julia - but she is so gentle with her). It makes dinner time very entertaining. We went to eat brunch the other day and Julia kept dropping her puffs on the floor and looking around for Lexi. If Julia is playing on the floor, you will find Lexi right beside her....licking her. It is a full time job trying to get her to stop but seems to be no use.

Julia has grown up so much! Pictures coming soon (seemed to have misplaced the camera).

On a side note, please keep my family in your prayers. We have gone through a lot in the last year and looking for our luck to turn around. Also, my cousin Hilton is going through a touch battle with Leukemia. It amazes me everyday how positive he stays! Such an inspiration and he is a daily reminder that "LIFE IS GOOD!". My uncle is undergoing a hip replacement after falling a breaking his hip while on a cruise to Mexico. He was airlifted yesterday to Meridian MS and will undergo surgery in the morning.

Yesterday was my sweet nieces 7th Birthday! Happy Birthday Ella!

Christmas with the Smith's

After Christmas morning with the Savages, Julia, Lexi and I loaded up the car to head down to the river to spend Christmas with my parents. My dad came down from Kentucky and Aunt Irma and Uncle Bill spent the night as well. Jennifer cooked a fabulous meal for Christmas dinner. We had such a good time - fun weekend, but way to short! I have to say we have not laughed that hard in I dont know how long..... mom and dad were so nice to buy me a new transmission for the Jeep (HeHe - family joke).

It took Julia 3 days to open the gifts at Mimi and Granddads house.... She would get so distracted with all the wrapping paper and dogs in the house. After looking at these pictures, I am realizing how little this tree in the background looks. This was 1 of 4 trees mom put up (and she only got out half her decorations....I dont believe it).

Christmas with the Savage's

I cant believe it has taken me SO LONG to get these pictures posted but here are pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas mornng with the Savages and Bailey and Amanda. We had such a great day! The biggest surprise of all was Christmas Eve Morning when Julia started crawling! She has not stopped since that morning!
