Still waiting....

Just wanted yall to know that we are still waiting on Baby Savage! My mom is here (Thank goodness - she is a lifesaver) and she has placed her bet that it is this weekend. Jay finished his last 2nd yr call on Tuesday night which is a huge deal- no more spending the night at the hospital.... YAY!!! And he had a big day today in the operating room so I think she is just really smart and wanted to wait until her daddy was not so busy! I will keep yall updated, just wanted you to know that we are all doing great and just waiting around.

Mia's 3rd Birthday!!!

I cant believe it - Mia turned 3 today!!!! We had a great dinner and Birthday cake tonight. Her Big Party is in a couple weeks. Happy Birthday Mia!

39 weeks and feeling great!

With my due date just a week away, I am feeling great. I am so fortunate to have a job where I can come home during the day and take a nap.... I really do not know how people can work a full day when they are this far along (I applaud them). Jay laughs at me bc I like to just rest with no tv, no radio - just quiet. Unfortunately my neighbor is doing lots of work on her house so it is not that quiet, but at least I am getting a nap.
I do have this fear that I am going to be at the hospital visiting one of the drs we call on or with a pt delivering a bone stim unit and my water is going to break. I sure hope not - but just in case I am going to start walking around with a glass/ bottle of water and blame my clumsiness.
I will keep you guys updated but I have no "signs" that she is coming anytime soon - I thought I would start feeling something at this point. Have a great weekend!

Nursery Pictures

I finally got a cord for my camera so I can download photos - YAY! Here are some pictures of the nursery. My mom is coming up this weekend to help me with hanging pictures, adding the last few details so I will try to send updated pictures soon. Hope everyone is having a fantastic week.

Baby Shower in Mobile

I LOVE BABY SHOWERS!!!! Some great friends of mine hosted a baby shower in Mobile on March 7th. It was so wonderful to see all my Mobile friends and family! We had great time, the food was wonderful and the flowers were amazing. I am so blessed to have such great friends in my life!!!!

The hostesses were Elizabeth Doyle, Sarah Doyle, Carrie Fritts, Meredith Gault and Kelsey McLemore. I am going to post some pictures - Baby Julia got so many wonderful gifts and books! Oh the books - everyone brought a book and they wrote sweet notes to her in the book. Every book is so special and I know we will enjoy reading them for many years!

I got several gifts that were handmade (which was so special). Jays Aunt Faye and Grandmother Joyce are pros at knitting. They have made Baby Julia the sweetest gifts throughout my pregnancy so you can imagine how excited I was to see what else they could make..... And they did not disappoint. Baby Julia got 2 of the greatest blankets! They are so soft and match her room perfectly! Kelsey and I started smocking a few months ago and she made the cutest smocked pillow that I have on the glider in the nursery. And then my cousin Terry made the cutest Bubble! Which was awesome bc I have been making Bubbles for Baby Savage and a few of her friends... that are on their way! I have used the one she made as a guide.

Baby Shower in Birmingham!

Jay and I had our first baby shower on February 14th! It was a couples shower given by Jacy and Michael Bindon, Brooke and Jason Yount, Valli and Kai Bridges and Margie and Josh Friedman. We had the best time and got so many great gifts! The host's did an amazing job with EVERYTHING - we are so lucky to have great friends!!! It was so wonderful to have all our friends and family together - we did not want the night to end. Here are some pictures from the shower. Aren't these the cutest shoes!!!

Baby Savage is almost here!

Baby Savage will be here in a couple weeks, my due date is April 22. Jay and I are so excited and cant wait to meet her!!!! She is truly a blessing! We have decided on a name - Julia Smith Savage.

Jay and I decided to do a blog of our family so you guys can check in from time to time to see how things are going. We are very busy so we are not the best at returning emails and sending out updates (sorry about that)..... but we to promise to keep the blog up to date so you can keep track of our growing family! As soon as we find our camera cord, we will post some pictures of nursery! We send our love to all!
